1990 Ducati 851
Often referred to as the bike that ‘saved Ducati’, the 851 is the bike that ushered in Ducati’s incredible success in World Superbike. Whilst the Tricolore is 'the' most desired of the first desmoquattro range, these all red 851's are becoming increasingly hard to find and their values are consistently creeping upwards.
This particular example was sold new in the US and was part of a collection in Texas. The bike saw very little use, amassing less than 3,000 miles before being sold & imported to Australia.
In preparing for sale it has undergone a full service including belts, all fluids (hydraulic & coolant), new tyres & battery. The bike is being sold with the original mirrors & hydraulic master cylinders separate. Being 1990 it has less than 12 months before eligibility for historic registration. A sound investment in beautiful original condition, this bike starts first push of the button, runs & rides beautifully, and can be viewed in Coffs Harbour.
