Ducati’s F1 750 & F3 400 were the last ‘real Ducati’s’ designed and built before the Cagiva take-over, and as a consequence these models have been highly sought-after in much the same regard as the entire Bevel range.

Ducati had already enjoyed considerable success with its Pantah-derived F2 racers in FIM Formula 2 racing so it was natural progression for a company built on racing to move into the higher, more competitive '750' category. In 1986, the 350cc and 400cc F3 versions were introduced, intended for the Italian and Japanese markets respectively. Both of these smaller models used Taglioni’s new 750 F1's frame, a design that attracted considerable attention due to it’s unique features, a trellis of short, straight tubes, Dr. T's brilliant design has formed the basis of every road-going Ducati up until the V4, including the first Desmosedici Moto GP racers!

Only 900 400 F3s were ever built by the time production ceased at the end of 1988.  Despite lacking the higher power of the 750, the F3 is otherwise identical with exception to slightly lower spec brakes & suspension, but it's still an amazingly agile bike with fabulous low-end torque, ideal for twisty mountain roads. 

The beautiful 1988 F3 is completely original, unrestored, and travelled only 9,800 km’s from new. Presently located with our Belgium partner, the advertised price includes shipping and all arrival costs into Sydney.
