1979 Suzuki GS1000

$16,301.70

 Product Description

1979 Suzuki GS1000  SOLD 2021

The GS1000 Suzuki was arguably the first big-bore Japanese bike that handled, and braked, somewhere within expectation of what you’d expect, or require, relative to its power output. Released to the world’s press on Suzuki’s Japan test track, most journalist expected doing this would result in embarrassment for the factory, but it was the exact opposite, with every Journo returning seriously impressed. It was an outstanding intro, with engineer Hisashi Morikawa on hand to be applauded for his work. He had also been responsible for the exemplary GS750, so in effect he’d sensibly developed an already proven product but tailored to suit what he believed the larger capacity sports & racing world was expecting.

This example is in beautiful original condition and is with our Italian agent. The advertised price includes shipping and arrival charges to Sydney.
