1971 Honda CB450 - SOLD
The Honda CB450 was the first 'big' Honda motorcycle. Sporting their largest engine built, a 444cc 180° straight twin, with dual overhead cam producing 43-45 horsepower, this was one of the first engines to exceed 100 HP/ litre.
This is a beautifully original third generation which features the redesigned fuel tank, rubber-gaitered front forks instead of sliding metal shrouds, a five-speed gearbox and twin speedometer and rev-counter instruments mounted above the headlamp. Oddly enough this must be quite an early example as it has drum brake front, whereas most of the 71 models sported a single disc.
