1968 Ducati Mk3
This Ducati 250 Mk3 has undergone a full chassis and engine refurbishment consuming almost 200 hours. Work included replacement of age effect items with NOS, re-wiring the headlight switching & lighting assemblies, Stainless Steel spokes, every chrome part striped and re-chromed, rewiring the stator and replacing the fault-prone 6v charging system with Japanese components, and much, much more.
Hundreds of high-res pictures detail everything that was done in the rebuild, and invoices for parts and labour will show that over 17k AUD was spent guaranteeing nothing was spared in returning this bike to its present spectacular condition.
Presently located in New York, the advertised price excludes shipping & arrival charges. In June 2016 an unrestored 1967 Mk1 sold at Classic Cycles in Connecticut for approximately 27kUSD (circa 37.5kAUD + shipping etc). With international buyers determining the real values of collectible bikes, in the years ahead this beautiful little Mk3 will have proven good buying given there is absolutely nothing to spend; best money buys best bikes.
