Description
1959 Moto Guzzi Ladola GT
The Moto Guzzi Lodola GT 235 was first introduced in 1956 as a 175cc, and importantly it was the last motorcycle designed by Carlo Guzzi. The Lodala represented a significant step forward in design and engineering, most notably away from the instantly recognised exposed flywheel found on the Lodala’s predecessor, Airone 250.
The 175 CC engine was an elegant design with an overhead camshaft, forward slanted cylinder, artful finning and unitised fully enclosed, or unit design, crankcase and gearbox. In 1959 the 175cc engine was increased to 235cc, making it one of the largest single cylinder motorcycles of the era.
This particular example is fully reconditioned with new battery and is reported as running perfectly functional. Currently located with our Italian agent, the advertised price excludes shipping and arrival charges.
