During the 1980s Honda produced a 750cc endurance race bike known as the NR750. The bike was a development of the NR500 Grand Prix bike which featured oval pistons, a concept that allowed eight valves per cylinder to generate more power due an increase in the engines air/fuel mixture intake and compression. In 1992 Honda produced approximately 300 street versions of the NR (better known today as NR750) using a 90-degree V angle engine featuring similar, but different, oval piston as used in the GP version. Whereas the NR500 used an oval piston with straight sides, the road going NR750 used an elliptical piston with curved long sides, both equally significant in engineering accomplishment; the NR750 is often referred to as the greatest example of corporate muscle flexing! The NR was the most expensive production bike at the time, selling for around $50,000 USD, and with their rarity they seldom change hands today for much under 70-75,000 USD.
This particular example is full power, European delivered with only 1,041k’s; it is showroom perfect original. As photos show it has all of the original handbooks, both keys including the oval piston key-ring, factory stand and unique cover. This NR 750 is located in Europe and advertised price is open to negotiation.
