1988 Suzuki GSXR 1100 J
When released in 1986, the leading US bike mag (Motorcyclist) described the GSXR 1100 as "The quickest, baddest production big-bore sports bike you can buy." It scorched down the standing quarter in 10.65sec with a 209km/h (130mph) (209km/h) terminal speed, and tripped the top speed radar at 258km/h. Given the era, it was an amazingly light at only 197kg (dry).
Of all GSXR 1100 production, enthusiasts rate the 1996 to 1988 production as the most favoured, and of those the 1988 is considered best. In 1988 only 1000 were produced in black, and this example is Australian delivered and travelled under 25,000k’s. Presented in perfect original condition, this bike has been fully serviced and is ready to ride away.
