The most collectible of these models was the John Player Norton Commando, a distinctive endurance-inspired Norton with unique bodywork surrounding a completely stock Mark 2A Commando. Strikingly different in 1974, the unique styling caught the eyes of many enthusiasts who were obsessed with the latest form of motorcycle competition; endurance racing.

This specific John Player Norton Commando has matching serial numbers, and has been garaged for the majority of its 40+ years. With only 200 JPS’ ever built these are most definitely far and few between, and it’s not often one in this condition is found. This is no replica of a replica, but a genuine John Player Special Norton.
