1969 KO Honda 750 Four Sandcast
The Holy Grail of all Honda collectors is the 1969 750 Four, sand-cast. Unsure how they’d be received, Honda took a cautious approach with the release of their first ‘Big Bore’ creation. Rather than spending big for die-cast engine tooling, Honda decided on producing a small batch of 7,414 CB750’s with sand-cast engines. Al bikes went to the US and were of course the bikes were an instant hit, and as they say, the rest is history, but this is the bike that created that history!
Sand-casts have for years commanded a premium over the later die-cast CB750s, but after one of the four 1968 ‘proto-type’ CB’s sold for $148,100USD, values and appreciation became a global focus. Of all Honda restorers, none is none more well-known and respected as Vic World, from World Motorcycles. This spectacular sandcast KO was restored by World Motorcycles and is of museum standard.
